    This act forced slaves even in the free states to go back to their "owners".

    The Uncle Tom's Cabin was based off a story of a slave name Uncle tom who became friends a white girl who was sick, the girls father bought the Tom because he saved the mans daughter.

    Bleeding Kansas was an event that happened due to The Kansas Nebraska Act, Bleeding Kansas had a series of violent confrontations in the Kansas Territory, as well as a little bit in western Missouri.
  • The Caning of Charles Sumner

    The Caning of Charles happened when brooks beat his cane against Sumner's head, this caused Sumner to not be able to help in the legislation for a while.
  • The Dred Scott Decision

    Dred Scott was a slave in Missouri who resided in Illinois, later he moved back to Missouri to live as a free man but a new suit in federal court made him or any other "negro" or descendants of slaves not be able to become a citizen.
