After returning home, Billy goes on a talk show to speak about the aliens. They think he's crazy and throw him out. Then he talks to a newspaper. His daughter Barbara scolds him for it. -

Billy is escorted out by security after. telling a patient about the Tralfamadorians. -
Billy Dies
In 1944 a POW named Lazarro that Billy was captured alongside tells him that after the war, he will hire a hitman to kill him in revenge for Roland Weary's death. Billy jumps to the future where he finds that this is indeed how he dies.
