    The Siege of Fort William Henry
    The commander of the French forces, Louis-Joseph de Montcalm captures Fort William Henry in what becomes one of the most infamous massacres of all time.
  • Louisbourg

    Louisbourg
    The British siege Louisbourg as an attampt to constantly have control over the resupply of the French in Canada. The fortress was later used by the British in 1759 as a launching point in the Siege of Quebec which included the Battle of the Plains of Abraham.
  • Fall of Fort Frontenac

    Fall of Fort Frontenac
    Bristish Colonel John Bradstreet led an army of over 3,000 men to attack the 110 French soldiers on the 26th of August 1758.On the morning of August 26, the British guns opened fire. The two sides continued to exchange fire on the 27th, with the British establishing gun batteries northwest of the fort. On the morning of the 28th, two French ships attempted to escape the harbor, but ran aground after persistent British fire against them. The French later surrendered.

    Fort Niagara Surrenders
    The Battle of Fort Niagara was a siege late in the Seven Years' War. The British siege of Fort Niagara in July 1759 was a plan to remove the French control of the Great Lakes and Ohio Valley regions, making a western invasion possible of the French province of Canada in conjunction with General James Wolfe's invasion to the east.
  • Wolfe attacks Montcalm

    Wolfe attacks Montcalm
    Commanding general James Wolfe launches an attack on Louis Joseph-de Montcalm. He leads 200 ships carrying 9,000 soldiers on an attack at the base of the cliffs on the St. Lawrence River. The men scale the walls and take General Montcalm by surprise. They take to battle on the Plains of Abraham where the battle lasts for only 15 minutes. In that time, Both Wolfe and Montcalm are mortally wounded. Wolfe dies on the battlefield just as he achieves victory. Montcalm dies the next day from injuries.
  • Battle of Quiberon Bay

    Battle of Quiberon Bay
    The battle of Quiberon Bay was held of the 20th of November, 1759. British admiral Sir Edward Hawke took 24 warships and caught up to a fleet of 21 French warships that were under the control of Marshal de Conflans. Sir Edward Hawke commanded the soldiers to open fire, and after a long battle, the British either sank, captured, or forced aground 6 of the French warships and dispersed the rest. This win gave the Royal Navy one of the greatest victories in the Seven Years War.

    In the Battle of Torgau on 3 November 1760, King Frederick the Great's Prussian army fought a larger Austrian army under the command of Field Marshal Leopold Josef Graf Daun. The Prussians won a costly victory in one of the bloodiest battles of the Seven Years' War.
  • Battle of Villinghausen

    Battle of Villinghausen
    Ferdinand of Brunswick outwits two French generals (Broglie, and Soubise) who can't decide who should strengthen what side. Because both generals were of the same rank, neither would take orders from the other to strengthen the right side. Because of this, the right was left only partially guarded which gave the British time to move their forces along the Lippe River and attack the French Flank. This halted Broglies attack and forced him to retreat.

    This treaty was made secretly on November 13 1762 between France and Spain signing New France over to Spain.
  • End of the Seven Years War

    End of the Seven Years War
    King George III signs the Proclamation of 1763 reserving land west of the Allegheny Mountains for Indians. This angers the colonists because they cannot expand west, but marks the virtual end to the war. A peace settlement was reached at the treaty of Hubertusburg, which ended the war in central Europe.
