  1910: Born in Istanbul.

  1929: Graduated from Istanbul Girls' High School.
During this period, she studied music and stage performance at the Istanbul Municipal Conservatory. - 
  
  1931: Began her acting career at Darülbedayi (Istanbul City Theaters).
1934: Achieved great success by performing in Turkey's first opera, "Özsoy."
1939: Moved to Berlin at the invitation of Carl Ebert to study at the Berlin State Opera. - 
  
  1941: Achieved international success by performing in Richard Strauss's "Ariadne auf Naxos" at the Berlin State Opera. She became the first Turkish woman to play a leading role in an opera in Europe.
1944: Returned to Turkey and joined the Ankara State Opera. - 
  
  During these years, she played roles in many significant productions at the Ankara State Opera and made substantial contributions to Turkish opera.

  1998: Was awarded the title of State Artist.
During this period, she also engaged in painting and exhibited her works. - 
  
  2000: A retrospective exhibition was held in Istanbul on her 90th birthday.
2004: Passed away in Istanbul.
