  Safiye Ali was born on February 2, 1894, in Istanbul. Her father was Ali Kırat Pasha and her mother was Emine Hasene Hanım.

  After attending Kaptanpaşa Primary School and Üsküdar American Academy, she went to Germany to study at the Medical Faculty.

  She graduated from the University of Würzburg in Germany, becoming Turkey's first female doctor.

  She returned to Istanbul and began working as a private physician, specializing in women’s and children's diseases.

  She started working at the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare, focusing on women's and children's health.

  She served in the Turkish Red Crescent Society (Hilal-i Ahmer Cemiyeti), continuing her work in women’s and children’s health.

  She began lecturing on gynecology and obstetrics at Istanbul University Medical Faculty, while also continuing to treat patients in her clinic.

  She attended the International Women's Congress in Berlin in 1935, representing Turkey

  After World War II, due to the political atmosphere in Turkey, she returned to Germany and continued her work in Frankfurt.

  Safiye Ali passed away on July 5, 1952, in Dortmund, Germany. She was buried in a Muslim cemetery in accordance with her will
