At his coronation, there was a huge stamped where hundreds of people died. Instead of grieving with the people, he went to party with the French. This even was known as the Khodynka Tragedy. -
People were protesting to get Tsar Nicholas to be a better leader and give the people better working and living conditions. Protesting took place in St. Petersberg. The protesters were met with gunfire from soldiers, killing innocent protesters. -

Rasputin was a Faith healer for Tsar Nicholas' family. The Tsarina was the wife of Tsar Nicholas. She was influenced by Rasputin by his spiritual ability to heal her son. The public believed there was an affair going on. This lead to the assassination of Rasputin. -
A revolution lead by Vladimir Lenin takes place International Women's day. Many women take part in this, their common goal to have "Peace, Land, Bread," as promised by Vladimir Lenin. This leads to the Tsar stepping down, an event known as an Abdicate. -
Vladimir Lenin founded the communist party. He promised the people Peace, Land, and Bread. Lenin did not keep this promise, as the communist party works to ensure there is no private land. There is also still issues regarding peace and their food. -
The Red Army, or Vladmir Lenin, was the leader of the Red Terror. People faced political repression and mass executions took place. A secret police group called Cheka carried out these actions. The Romanovs were assassinated during this time. I believe this happens as an act of revolt and to establish power or dominance. Also eliminated any threats to the Red Army.

Vladmir Lenin altered communism slightly by mixing some capitalism with it. Instead of nobody owning any land, there were a limited amount of private businesses. Lenin did this to allow the economy to stabilize before fully converting to communism.

Joseph Stalin lead the Soviet Union after Vladimir Lenin died. He turned Russia into a dictatorship. -
I learned that the Russian Revolution was ultimately pointless and caused more issues than it solved. Leadership in Russia only devolved over time, until its total dictatorship. People were better off before, as they were not subject to the brutal actions of Joseph Stalin's dictatorship. This revolution teaches us that we need to have a clear plan and work together to get what we want from the government. Otherwise, it can lead to more war and result in the opposite of what you were fighting for
