The man smiled and asked the bird its name and it said 'Nevermore.' -
He was thinking about how the bird would leave and it said nevermore again. -
He said that the bird had probably learned the word from an old owner. -
He was thinking and the Raven stared right at him and he thought of how his love would not sit by him again. -
He told the Raven to go back into the storm and the Raven said nevermore. -
He asked if he would see Lenore again and the Raven said nevermore. -
The Raven still stays there and its eyes look like a demon's eyes and the narrator is trapped forever. -
It was December and the fire was dying and the narrator was thinking about his love Lenore. -
He told the visitor he was sleeping and they woke him and when he opened the door and nobody was there. -
The narrator was reading late one night to forget about his love when he heard tapping at his door. -
The curtains started moving and the sound scared the narrator and he kept saying it was only someone knocking to calm down. -
He was scared when nobody was there and whispered the name Lenore and the echo repeated her name -
He closed the door and he heard knocking again and looked out the window and opened it. -
When he opened the window a black Raven flew in and perched on a statue above the door. -
He was surprised that a bird could talk and would say nevermore. -
He felt calm with the Raven there and sat by it and thought of what it could be trying to say. -
He said that God has sent the Raven and asked him to help him forget his grief for his love. -
He said he was either the prophet or the devil and told the Raven to tell him the truth and the Raven said nevermore.
