    After the "mini crash" of October 24th (Black Thursday) the big hit took place of October 29th - Black Tuesday. This was the greatest stock market crash in US history and was the trigger for the 10 year Great Depression. The stock market crash took place as the practice of speculation and buying on margin led to buyers not being able to pay for their stocks. This led to a great run on selling stocks at a loss.

The Dust Bowl was severe dust storms that took place mainly in Texas and Oklahoma but aslo reached into New Mexico, Colorado and Kansas.
