    Causes of the American revolution

  • End of French and Indian War

End of French and Indian War
    February 10, 1763
The war is finally over. France has been trampled by the British. All our land is gone and all the options are just to come home, join the colonists, or die. I would rather be dead then to join those awful redcoats. We can’t go to Canada because the British took all of our land.
  • Proclamation of 1763

    Proclamation of 1763
    October 7, 1763
King George the third passed a new act to give no freedom to move west. I'm angry for my poor soil and family are needing food. We heard around town that the west is filled with fertile soil.
  • Sugar Act

    Sugar Act
The tax on sugar and molasses is so bad I hate it. We have to smuggle goods from other ships. Sometimes we have to boycott both things when my family needs theses things.
  • Stamp Act

    Stamp Act
I have to pay more money to send my documents, newspapars, dice, and cards to my family in New York. I hate it I am really poor so I can barely buy anything anymore.
  • Quartering Act

    Quartering Act
I have a secret diary which you are reading now. I hate the soldier in my house. It is begin to drive me crazy so much, I have to pay for his super, lunch and breakfast.
  • Townshend Act

    Townshend Act
The tax on tea is so horrible that I can't have my tea. The soldier has a papar that says they can search ships and it is called Writs of Assistance. I have none of my rights anymore I hate it so much.
  • Boston Massacre

    Boston Massacre
The horror of the cries in the town square. 5 people dead. These innocent people were fighting for their rights with no taxation without representation. These acts are really unfair.
  • Tea Act

    Tea Act
The tea act makes it so we the colonists can import tea directly from India. It makes me happy but I still have to pay tax on it. My husband thought it was a trick to accept being taxed without representation.
  • The Boston Tea Party

    The Boston Tea Party
We shall get back at those awful lobsterbacks for taxing our tea. We shall plan a revenge attack to the tea ship and dump it. No one can know its the Sons and Daughters of Liberty so we shall disquise ourselves as Mohicans.
  • Intolerable Acts

    Intolerable Acts
This act was for the punishment of the Boston Tea Party. Banned town meetings becasue they didn't want us to get any ideas and do bad again. It closed the harbor until we pay off all the tea. The new quartering act was in placed so we had to take in soldiers again.
  • The First Continental Congress

    The First Continental Congress
We are planning against the awful lobsterbacks. The time to stand they take away are freedom in Boston and now it is time to get rid of the British. They cannot accuse us of breaking the law because we are in Philadelphia.
  • Paul Revere's Ride

    Paul Revere's Ride
Speeding. Down all through the night screaming " the regulars are coming" repeatedly. Chased by all the regulars. I feel its awful of their plan. The colonists are waking up as I shout. I am glad they are so they can get their guns ready to fire.
  • Lexington and Concord

    Lexington and Concord
Fire. Gunshots flying in the air. You couldn't tell who fired their gun first. It was just bullets and smoke. No fresh air, just powder. The lobsterbacks just loved to ruin are fun and freedom. I feel we should rebel.
