    Proclomation of 1763
    Prevented setlers going past the line drawn by King George III. This document was made to ensure the new found land would flourish do to peace with the Native Amercians.
  • Stamp Act of 1765

    Stamp Act of 1765
    The Stamp Act put taxes on all documents, magazines, newspapers, and many other types of paper throughout the colony. The taxes were supposed to pay for the british troops in North America and for the Seven Year War.
  • Boston Massacre

    Boston Massacre
    During a riot in Boston, Massachussetts there were 8 soldiers lined up trying to gain control of the situation. A colonist threw something towards on of the officers when the officer fired intot he crowd. 5 died
  • Townshend Taxes

    Townshend Taxes
    A group of acts which were suppose to raise the revenue of the colonies to pay for goverment and judges. This led to some outrage which forced Britain to send extra Red Coats. This contributed to The Boston Massacre.

    A political protest against the unnecessary tea tax against the Colonies. This portest was led by the Sons Of Liberty. Colonists dressed up as Mowhawk Indians and boarded the ships and dumped the tea intot he harbors.

    A group of laws/acts that were oassed as a result of the Boston Tea Party. These acts were made to punish those who were involved.

    A meeting of leaders from 12 of the 13 colonies (not includding Georgia). The meeting was in Philadelphia, Pannsylvania. The First Continental Congress was in reaction to the intolerable acts.

    The first engagments of the Revolutionary War. The battles took place in Middlesex County and Massachusetts Bay. These battles kicked off the warin which the Colonies seemed like the underdogs.

    This was the last major battle of the Revolutionary war which some may call the siege at Yorktown. The Englush were led by George Washington to Victory.
