    In Galileo's middle teens, he was enrolled in the monastery school of Vallombrosa, near Florence

    Galileo discovered the telescope, making many different discoveries, including the stars orbiting Jupiter. Without him discovering the telescope,e it may have been worse than what we have today, or we may not have it at all.

    The pope is infuriated at Dialogo, placing Galileo on trial for one thing after another. he was placed under suspicion of "vehement suspicion of heresy" but was convicted of holding and teaching the Copernican belief.
