During 5th grade, I wanted to exceed my own expectations and win the class spelling bee's - however, I always got out after the 3rd round.

During 6th grade, I saw an advancement with my reading and writing skills, for I had a reading class and English class

During 7th grade year, I struggled with stronger vocabulary words, my dad used to make me study for an hour every night and pass an at-home made test for words and meanings

Being new to high school, everything changed, and I wanted to be better - my main focus was the subject English and advancing my reading, so that is what I did!

By 11th grade, I started reading on my free time for fun. This was a huge step for myself, I hated reading growing up.
