I first started learning to read in kindergarten with minor struggles. -
Within 2nd grade, I gradually started to read child friendly chapter books to expand my vocabulary -
During 4th grade, I struggled with comprehending vocabulary words and resorted back to the simpler words/phrases -
During 5th grade, I wanted to exceed my own expectations and win the class spelling bee's - however, I always got out after the 3rd round. -
During 6th grade, I saw an advancement with my reading and writing skills, for I had a reading class and English class -
During 7th grade year, I struggled with stronger vocabulary words, my dad used to make me study for an hour every night and pass an at-home made test for words and meanings -
Being new to high school, everything changed, and I wanted to be better - my main focus was the subject English and advancing my reading, so that is what I did! -
By 11th grade, I started reading on my free time for fun. This was a huge step for myself, I hated reading growing up. -
For the first few years of college, I actually took a liking to English and Communication classes. -
I have taken a liking to reading and most recently bought a kindle.
