Paul Farmer was born in Massachusettes in 1959. HIs mother was a farmer and they both looked a lot alike. HIs father was a salesman that was very competitive and had a nickname of "the warden".

Paul's father not praising Paul and letting him figure stuff out on his own made him mature at a young age. This makes Paul not to hide and be someone that is scared. Git sum!!!

Paul's father moved his family to Alabama and at this time Paul was called a prodigy because of his interests in herpetology and finishing the book War and Peace at the age of 11.

This was Paul's first working job. This was significant because at a young age he started to work with different races which contradicted with that time period.

Paul Farmer attended Duke University
