  • Became the Vigo County, IN County Extension Agent

    At 25, Orville took the job of being the county extension agent, reviving the county fair and other major accomplishments. He was in this position until 1939.

    Orville began a job as the farm manager at Princeton Farms, managing the production corn, soybeans, and oats.

    Orville began planting a variety of popcorn that was developed by Purdue University
