Old Kingdom

    He is not presented as a pharaoh, which are usually depicted as gods. The difference here is that he is bare and exposed (kind of) and this was probably intentional to make him feel more humble, human, and show his humility. His eyes are also blue which at the time that color was associated with the gods. Some themes conveyed here are cosmologies/beliefs as well as political-social status.

    It is the largest out of the three pyramids of Giza. The pyramid was built out of core stones. The outer layer was made out of white Tura Limestone. The interior of the pyramid includes the kin's chambers, queen's chambers, and the grand gallery. The kings sarcophagus sits at the central axis of the pyramid.
