A mysterious letter said to be written by James Garfield, supporting the cheap labor on the Chinese immigrants, was sent to the house of representatives. This letter caused democrats to print out the news and called it Garfield's "death warrant." The letter was investigated and deemed a forgery but still hurt the reputation of James Garfield.

As people part of the black vote, were turning towards republicans as person opposing FDR was supporting black rights, FDR went into New York City to campaign. One of his assistants kicked a black police officer in the [Redacted], and denied injuring them. FDR eventually announced about the Tuskegee airmen and promoted a black man to brigadier general to salvage the situation.

During the Vietnam war, there was the election between Nixon, and Hubert Humphrey. Hubert the vice president at the time, and Lyndon Johnson, attempted to call off attacks on Vietnam to create peace, which didn't work and resulted in Nixon's election.

In 1980 there were hostages held by an Iranian group, with 50 people held hostage and election day marking a year since they were held captive. Ronald Reagan had a plan to solve this issue and free the hostages in his campaign speeches. He thought the other person running had may have already freed the hostages and is waiting to announce it for election day. That never came and Reagan won the election.

In 1992 George W Bush was running for president. Ronald Reagan at this time was allegedly selling illegal weapons to Iran. Bush was Reagan's vice president at the time which associated him with it, and so he lost the election.

In the 2000 presidential election Bush was running in, a news story about a time in 1976 where Bush was arrested for drunk driving. This eventually led to Bush loosing the election.

In 2016 election Hillary Clinton was found to be using a private email rather than a government email which led the FBI to investigate and have to look into. This led to Hillary Clinton eventually loosing the election.
