When they are about to get liberated and they are on the death marches. -
Struggle
In this part of the book, Elie's situation becomes difficult, and his father also becomes very weak. -

When Elie's father got beaten by the guards, he got weaker and his body couldn't heal his injuries. -
Elie's fathers passing
Elie's father tragically passed after getting beaten by the guards. -
Liberation
This is when Elie was liberated from the camps, and he was finally free again.
