The coffin was crafted using wood, but covered in gold as well as many semiprecious stones. The image of the pharaoh was that of a god. Gods were thought to have gold skin and hair of lapis lazuli. The fake beard also connected him even more to the gods. Thats how how the king was shown in his divine form in the after life. -
Thutmose is shown to be kneeling down holding two pots. He is offering to a deity. We see based on what he is wearing, he is a king. The statue also has a blueish-green reflective hue to it under certain lighting conditions. This is mostly due to the metal it was made from (copper).
