As part of the First New Deal, the Federal Government paid unemployed, single, young men to work on construction projects to restore jobs. It gave more people working jobs. This was a recovery plan to give people more jobs and fix unemployment rates. -

This was funded via payroll tax on workers and employers. This proved to be a reform effort as it aimed to fix the long-term diffuse of the old age not having economic security and retirement funds. -
The FHA was established during the First New Deal. It helped to protect people from losing their homes from loans. It made it so more people could have affordable housing, and help provide loans to more people. It was part of recovery to provide more people with accessible housing and loans. -
The Works Progress Administration was estal;ished on May 6, 1935 under the Second New Deal. The purpose of the WPA was to employ people until the economy recovered. It did so by establishing a national work relief program through large scale public work projects. The WPA also enabled the National Youth Administration which provided work and education for Americans. This was a recovery effort as it provided jobs to the unemployed with the goal of raising the economy up from the depression. -
The National Labor Relations act was introduced on July 5, 1935 under the Second New Deal. This Act guaranteed the right to join and form an independent labor union and collective bargaining. This proved to be a reform effort as it was passed with the goal of reducing the stigma and limiting factors on being in an independent labor union for Americans.

On February 5, 1937 FDR’s supreme pacing plan was established under the Second New Deal. This plan was to expand the membership of the supreme court as the law would add one new justice to the court for each justice over the age of 70 with a maximum of six additional judges. This was a reform effort as it sought to increase and alter the membership of the supreme court from what it was once.

The Fair Labor Standards Act was established on May 24, 1928 under the Second New Deal. This act provided child labor laws, the right to a minimum wage, and guaranteed pay for overtime which was classified as over 40 hours per week. This was a reform effort as the goal of this act was to improve working conditions for the working class and reduce exploitation of workers.
