One of the best and largest ziggurats of Mesopotamia was the ziggurat of Ur. It was built by King Ur-Nammu for the moon goddess Nanna. It would be a big focal point for attracting people so they can get their food surplace or who seek spiritual and physical nourishment. This was an example of deties and places of worship, as well as through the spiritual connect it had to the moon godess Nanna cosmology and belief.

We see Gudea seated, the darker-grayish color of the stone conveys a simplicity and humility to him. This makes sense as he is known for building temples and we see him seated holding the construction plans showing us the importance this has towards him. We can see places of worship and deties as Gudea himself was viewed as one for his actions of building all of these temples.
