Soviet dictator JosephStalin signed a 10-year non-aggression pact with Hitler. Germany then attack after signing this non-aggression pact. Hitler quickly moved ahead with plans to conquer poland. -
September 1, 1939
Hitler does a suprise attack on poland. Germans tanks and troop trucks rumble across the polish borders. Aircrafts and artillery began a merciless bombings on poland. -
September 17, 1939
The Soviet makes their move on sep. 17, Stalin sen Soviet troops to occupy the eastern half of poland. Stalin moved to annex countries to the north of poland. On november 1st Stalin sends nearly 1 million Soviet troops into finland. -
April 9, 1940
All that was quet has left, Hitler launches a suprise invasion of Denmark and Norway. Four hours in Denmark has fallen. -
May Of 1940 (for Germans)
On May of 1940 Hitler begins a damatic sweep through netherland, Belgium, and Luxembourg. This was part of stategy to strike at france. Germans squeeze past the Maginot line to trap their allied forces. -
End of may 1940 (Dunkirk)
Germany traps allied forces around the North French city called Lille(leel).
they retreated to the beach of Dunkirk then trapped by Germans with thier backs against the sea. -

Upheld free trade among the nations and the right for people to choose thier goverment. it served as a peace plane at the end of WWII. -

2 months later Norway surrenders to the germans suprise invasion. -
June 22, 1940
The germans have taken control of the Norhtern part of farance. Also have left the Sothern France to a puppet goverment leaded by Mashal Philippe Petain a French hero from WWI. Charles de Gaulle comitted all his energy to re conquering France.
He called on the people of France to join him in his resisting against the Germans. -
Battle of Britian
WinstonChiurchi.l British Prime Minister declares that his nation wont give up to the battle. Hitler then planned an invasion to take out their royal airforce (RAF) then landed 250,000 soldiers on Englands shore. In Summer of 1940 Germany's airforces then begain to bomb Great Britian. Mostly air filelds and aircraft factories. -

They started to focuse on the cities especially London to break British moral. -
North Africa
First objective was to hitler mainly because of Mussolini his partner. German and italy stayed neutrak at the begining of war on hitlers conquest of France mussolini knew he had to take action.
After declaring war on France and Great britian he moved to france. -
Britian Strikes Back
British strikes back. results in disaster for the Italians.
By february 1941 the British swept 500 mmiles across his axis partner. March 1941 Rommel Afrika Korps attacked british, caught by suprise British forceses retreted east to Burk Libya. But drove Rommel back on June of 1942 -
June 22, 1941
The roar of the tanks and aircrafts anounced the begining of the invasion on the Soviet Union. The Soviets unperpared. It went for weeks till the Soviets were pushed back 500 miles inside the Soviet union.
