    Nathan Hale was born into the family of Mr. Richard Hale and Mrs. Elizabeth Strong, he was their second of twelve children born to the couple in Coventry , Connecticut. Both his Parents were devout Puritans who believed in the value of hard work, the virtue of religion and the importance of education. His father had built a thriving livestock business whose animals achieved top dollar at the markets, By the time Nathan was born, they were one of the most prominent families in the region.
