My memoir

  • Scar

    Scar

When I was one, I tripped face first into my dad's desk. it ended up being a very deep gash and it bled a lot. I ended up getting stitches as the hospital, and soon enough, after the stitches were taken out, I had a scar down my forehead. Cool right? (I'm guessing on the day!)
  • Adventures! #1.

    Adventures! #1.

When I was 5 I thought it was a good idea to ride my rocking horse down the steep steps. probably like 25 steps. and with a baby gate at the bottom of it. I ended up breaking open the back of my head, and it was bleeding A LOT. But by the time my parents got me to the hospital, my head had stopped bleeding, so the doctors didn't even give me STITCHES! To this day I still have a scar on the back of my head.
  • Softball

    Softball

I remember/think when I was 6 I joined softball. I really sucked at it, and I wasn't focused on it WHATSOVER. After about of year and a half of it, my dad hit me in the nose with a softball, while me, him, and my mom were practicing, and I wasn't paying attention. Again. and it hit me hard in the nose. After finishing the year of softball, I quit.
  • Dance

    Dance

I started dance In 2020. I went to Wempner's school of dance. I had to find a new hobby after a year of not having one since softball. I took Jazz, and Tap. I soon quickly had this be one of my main hobbies. and I met my best friend! Felicity. So I'm really glad I went to dance because otherwise I wouldn't have met her.
  • Birthday!

    Birthday!

When I was turning 10 I was able to bring my best friend, Felicity, to Noah's Ark with me! Noah's ark is the biggest water park in North America, in the dell's!. While we were there, me and Felicity must've been busy with something during this time frame, but on the drive home, my parents gave us matching mood rings! it was super fun because they came with a translation sheet for the colors!
  • Getting Diagnosed

    Getting Diagnosed

I had lately been drinking more water than usual (very out of the blue for me), continuously tired, and being very small and skinny. I had lost about 8 pounds(I was 58 pounds). And on my 10 year appointment, they checked my blood, and figured out my blood sugar was 781. I was taken to the children's hospital, and there they gave me the insulin my body wasn't making. I found out there, that I had lost all of the weight because my body needed an energy source. so it had body fat instead.
  • Middle School

    Middle School

I was finally going to middle school. After setting up multiple things, most for my diabetes, a few for my allergies, and I was in. I'll admit it, It was a little nervracking. but then I got associated to the teachers (Fairly quickly. Per usual.) And soon after, the other students. I got good grades, (Or at least tried to), and I worked hard to keep up with schoolwork and lessons! I even got into advanced ELA! I'm still proud of that too.
  • Diabetes camp!

    Diabetes camp!

I finally had, had diabetes for over a year! So I was able to go to Lion's Camp! I got to take care of my own diabetes, change my own supplies, which is kinda big for me. And plus, there were tons of activities! Like Swimming, Basketball, Tennis, Pickle ball, Gagaball, Rock climbing, Hayride, Arts and crafts, nine square, Pontooning, Fishing, Big swings, Zip-roping, and other games inside the cabins. In all, I was more independent there, and it was really fun too! They had dairy free for me too
  • Dairy accident!

    Dairy accident!

When it was the JDRF walk, to raise money for cures on type 1 diabetes, I accidentally ate some cheddar cheese covered popcorn! My throat started to close up and it was kinda harder to breath. the bad thing was that I didn't have any Allergy medicine! So I actually got to be in the back of a police like ambulance thingy. They had to ask over the speaker "Does anyone have any benadril?" And I eventually got some. so the swelling in my throat started to go down. But jeez. Scary stuff man.
  • Motorcycle

    Motorcycle

I was finally able to get a motorcycle helmet, and me and my dad rode the motorcycle for the first time together. it was great! and I'm totes gonna do it again.
