Birth
Birth (Cohort) I was born in 2008. My cohort includes people born in the same few years who went through the same big events, like the COVID-19 pandemic or certain changes in technology and school systems -

Growing up (before adolescence)
Making Friends (Social Norms, Role Set) As I grew up, I learned social norms like how to share, talk nicely, and be respectful. My role set as a student included being a classmate and friend. This taught me how to work with others. -
COVID
COVID-19 Pandemic (Life Event, Social Institutions) The pandemic was a huge life event. Schools closed, and I had to study from home. The education and health systems played a big part in keeping people safe. It changed how I saw school, friendships, and even family time. This happened when I was transitioning from being a kid to a teenager so I didn't have the socialization a teenager needs. -
Becoming a teenager

Entering highschool
High School Start (Transition, Role Conflict) Starting high school was another big transition. I had more freedom but also more pressure. Sometimes I felt role conflict when I had to choose between studying and hanging out with friends. -

my future
Looking Ahead (Trajectory, Future Life Events) I hope to graduate high school, go to college, and maybe get a full-time job or start a career. These transitions are part of my life’s trajectory. I expect to go through more life events like moving out, maybe getting married, and starting a family someday.
