I have loved football all my life. My dad introduced it to me when I was very young, so I knew I wanted to play as soon as I was able to. So in 5th grade, I got the chance to, and threw a touchdown!

This day was special because the day before, I had to bury my grandmother, who had just passed away. I had missed almost the whole tournament, but made it for the last game. Then, on my first at-bat I hit a home run to centerfield.

This was a cool experience because it was my first time playing a game under a real coaching staff, not a bunch of dads trying to put it together. It was fun, but we were not very good and lost pretty badly, but something I will remember for a long time.
