My older sister Lexi was diagnosed with CIDP, a rare autoimmune disorder, at age 11. I was 8 at the time and started to spend lots of time in different hospitals. This is when my love for nursing began, I knew I wanted to help people like the nurses helped my sister.

My end goal is to fulfill a career in pediatric nursing. I know my nursing career will heal my inner child, as I become the nurse I watched take care of my sister. I would also love to become a school nurse one day, after working in hospitals. I am so excited to see what my future holds, and am grateful for every step of the way.
