At a red carpet event Zendaya was spotted rocking locs but was faced with negative commentary. She took to the internet to address these racist remarks stating that a hairstyle has nothing to do with drugs. Mattel honored her with her own Barbie that sported that same look.

Zendaya broke off from her Disney career, with her role as Mj in Spider-Man: Homecoming. This was just the start. She has played in many other pieces such as The Greatest Showman, Euphoria, and Dune.

Throughout her life, Zendaya has been an inspiration to me with her talent in many areas and by seeing her speak out about things that matter to her. To this day she continues to work on films and speak out on issues such as the struggles faced in Palestine.
