    Jackie Robinson Breaks the Color Barrier
    Jackie Robinson broke the color barrier in Major League Baseball. Jackie was the first African American to join Major League Baseball in the modern era. This event was a major step toward the world's racial equality.
  • Brown vs. Board of Education

    Brown vs. Board of Education
    This act declared there was no segregation in schools; it was a major victory for the Civil Rights Movement. This created the saying separate but equal.
  • The Murder of Emmitt Till

    The Murder of Emmitt Till
    Emmit TIll had whistled at a younger white women and was murder bye two men and kidnapped by them.

    The Bus Boycott was a Civil rights protest when African Americans refused to ride the city bus. It began after Rosa Parks was arrested for refusing to give up her seat to a white passenger.

    9 African Americans got the opportunity to join a school and they had to go through a lot with name-calling and really racist sayings towards them. There were ten of them and the young lady didtn know that they had a ride there so she had walked through a crowd of white rasict people and they yelled at her and called her names making her turn around and go home

    Ruby was a six-year-old African American, the first African American to attend Elementary school. Ruby was allowed to attend due to court orders.
  • Letter from a Birmingham Jail

    Martin Luther King Jr wrote this letter while he was imprisoned at Birmingham Jail, responding to the state. MLK points out the racism in the city, and MLK argues that denying justice to one person threatens justice to all people.

    Malcolm X was a part of the Civil Rights Movement, he was assassinated in New York in the Audubon Ballroom. He was shot at the age of 39, my three men, apart from the Nation Isla, and were convicted of murder and were imprisoned.
