Marie Curie Timeline By AseMR 1867 Marie Curie is born in Poland 1891 Marie moves to Paris to study at the Sorbonne 1894 Marie meets Pierre Curi, a fellow scientisth. 1895 Marie and Pierre get married. 1896 They discover a new element which they name Polonium. 1898 Marie and Pierre discover a second new element which they name Radium. 1903 Marie becomes the first women to win a Nobel Prize in Physics. 1911 Marie wins in second Nobel Prize. This time in Chemistry. 1934 Marie dies of leukemia which was caused by her exposure to radiation during her research.
