    2. Although the French initially fought back, it didn't last very long.
    3. The allies had victory by the 11th of November.
    4. After the French were ordered to cease armed resistance by Dwight D. Eisenhower, he gave in so that he could remain head of French administration.
    5. This lead to the allies eventually crossing the Tunisian border by the end of November.

    4. In comparison to the Soviets, the Germans lost a much larger percentage of their army.
    5. Adolf Hitler committed suicide just a few days before the battle officially ended.
