    Witches

    The witches predict the future of Macbeth. The predictions begin to mess with Macbeth's head as he becomes greedy to gain the power that they predict of him.

    Wanting to become king

    Macbeth shows a desire to become king. After hearing the chance that he may be able to take the throne he starts creating ideas of how he may be able to.

    Murder

    Lady Macbeth begins to push Macbeth into the idea of murder so that he is able to gain the throne.

    Murder

    Macbeth completes his first murder, Duncan.

    Regret

    Macbeth begins to feel regret towards his recent murder of Duncan but Lady Macbeth tells him to stop worrying about it and pull himself together.

    Revealing his actions

    Macbeth reveals to Macduff that he was the murderer of Duncan.

    Second Ordering of Murder

    Macbeth finds 3 murderers and orders them to kill Banquo and Fleance. He does this as he feels threatened by them as he thinks they might take away his opportunity at being king

    Second set of murders

    The 3 murderers, hired by Macbeth, attempt to kill Banquo and Fleance. They successfully kill Banquo but Fleace escapes.

    Ghost

    Macbeth seeing Banquo's ghost at the dinner table when he has guests over. This causes suspicion which Lady Macbeth tries to cover up. This seeing of a ghost is a representation of the regret and fear that Macbeth feels towards his actions.

    Second Foreshadowing

    Macbeth meets the witches once again. They share their predictions of the future and foreshadow what is to come further on in the story. This meeting makes Macbeth even more paranoid.

    Third set of Murders

    Lady Macduff and her son are killed on Macbeth's orders. A messenger tries to warn them but they do not escape in time.

    Macduff and Malcolm plan to attack Macbeth

    Accidental Reveal

    While sleep walking, Lady Macbeth reveals the actions that Macbeth has done. She does this in the presence of the Gentlewoman and the Doctor.

    Going to Battle

    Macbeth leaves to go off to battle. He goes off in a state of panic as the enemy is discussed.

    Macbeth is Murdered

    Macbeth is killed by Macduff. Macbth previously thinking that he had power over Macduff soon discovers that even with what the witches said to Macbeth is their predictions he doesn't have anything over him. This realisation creates fear and a loss of hope in Macbeth contributing to his loss of the battle.

    Malcolm is proclaimed as King.
