hi's heart grew braver he apologised to the visitor he went to the door and opened it but there was just darkness. -
he went back inside his heart racing then another tapping but not the door at the window he thought it was the wind but he wanted to know if it was. -
he opens the window wide then a raven flew in the raven stood on the statue above the chamber door. -
he smiled at the raven although the raven was wiled it was not scared and the raven said one word Nevermore. -
he was amazed that the bird could talk it did not answer back but its favorite word was Nevermore. -
he got scared on how fast it responded he thought the raven repeated what its previous owner said. -
he smelled perfume in the air he thought God sent the raven to him and begged for raven to help him to forget about his grief for Lenore but the bird just said nevermore. -
he cried he thought the devil was testing him then he asked if there would be peace, healing,or any hope for him. -
He asks God if he will ever see lenore again will he hold her again but the raven just said nevermore. -
he told the bird to leave at once and to go back into the storm he told the bird to take its shadows with it and to get off his statue. -
the narrator was reading books late one night to forget about his love when he heard knocking at his door. -
the narrators lights were making ghost shapes and he was thinking about his love that was gone forever. -
the wind filled the narrator with a fear he had never felt before and the visitors knocking at the door continues on. -
He stood there for a while looking at the darkness he was nervous the silence felt endless he said Lenore but then he heard someone or something in the darkness repeating Lenore. -
the raven was quite as if that was the only word he new he thought the bird would leave him just like his friends did. -
the raven made him feel calm he sat near the raven and it said nevermore again. -
he sat there for a long time thinking while the raven stared at him then he started to remember the love he lost. -
the raven never left his house it still stands on the chamber door and its eyes look like a demon.
