Gandalf returns 17 years later to tell Frodo that the ring is really Sauron's ring and says a whole bunch of bad things want it. Frodo feel's the rings power on him.

They begin to depart the Shire and a long the way they have to hide from a black rider but an elf named Gildor comes and helps them

Tom Bombadil aids them along their journey, saving them from danger and getting them weapons.

The party goes to the dancing pony where they meet Strider after Frodo puts the ring on. They then leave with Strider to Rivendell.

The party, now with Strider, goes to and old watchtower where they are confronted by the Nazgul. They escape but Frodo is wounded with a special kind of wound.

On the way Glorfindel helps with the transportation of Frodo to Rivendelle. Elrond floods a river to lose the Nazgul

They get to Rivendell and Frodo is healed by Elrond

The Fellowship of the Ring is created.
