Opened in 1863, The Metropolitan Railway between Paddington and Farringdon was the first underground railway in the world. -
Gas Car
In Mannheim, Germany, Karl Benz made the first automobile that ran on gas. It was the first car that had gasoline. -
Electric Car
The first practical electric car was the Flocken Elektrowagen, designed by German engineer Andreas Flocken in 1888. This prototype had a top speed of 9 miles per hour. -
Bullet Train
In 1964, the Bullet Train was made by Hideo Shima, in Tokyo, Japan. The maximum speed of this train was 186 miles per hour. -
Modern Day
We have both electric cars and gas cars and we are making more electric cars to start and save out natural resources.
