the first king of Isreal. God's spirit left him because he disobeyed God so many times. He was angry when God's spirit left him. He was a mighty warrior. -

Jonathan snuck out, and did not tell his father. Jonathan took his armor bearer with him. They went up to the philistines. The two of them killed 20 men. -

David was a shepherded boy. Then Samul anointed him. David killed Goliath. He became king. He sinned a lot but he repented to God, and God forgave him. -

Samuel came to Jesse's house to anoint one of his sons. Jesse showed almost all his sons. The Samuel said none of them were right. Then Jesse called in the youngest David, and he was anointed. -

Saul loses the kingdom
Samuel was going to do a sacrifice before the battle. The men were getting nervous. So Saul did the sacrifice with out Samuel which was against God's instructions. As his punishment, God took the kingdom. -

David protect his sheep
When David is watching over the sheep sometimes there is a lion or a bear. David has to kill the animal so that it does not get his sheep or lamb. David most times did it with a stone and a sling. -

David and Goliath
Jesse sent David to check on the battle and his brothers. When David went he saw this giant named Goliath taunting the men. David wondered why none of the men were fighting. So he said he would, so he did with 5 stones and sling and kill Goliath with the first stone. -

Saul is angry and tries to kill David
When they came out of battle David killed more people then Saul. This made the people celebrate David more then Saul. Saul was jealous the jealousy turned into anger towards David. David had to run form Saul, so Saul would not kill him. -

Saul give David his oldest daughter Merab. David married her and became brothers in law to Jonathan. -

David becomes a active king. After Saul is dead David gets the throne . -

Saul had brought the ark of the convent into war. The ark got passed around then David got it. He danced into the town when they were taking it back. -

David saw Bathsheba and thought she was beautiful. She was married so David put her husband in battle so he would die and he would get her. Then David committed adultery with her. -

Made golden cavies so the people would not need to go to Jerusalem. So he wouldn't lose control over them. He made festivals to mimic the real festivals. -

Rehoboam
Son of Solomon. He was harsher then his father. He was rejected for his harshness, which broke apart Israel. Did not take advise from the old advisers and father. Did take bad advise from the young men. -

David's Death
When David was getting old close to death, his son Adonijah tried to make himself king. When David heard this he said that Solomon was in line to be King. So they anointed Solomon and made him King, so Adonijah could not be King. Then then David died as he was giving Solomon instructions on how to reign as King. -

Solomon's reign
Solomon reigned for 40 years like David his father did. Solomon's brother tried to take the throne from David who was old and near to death. When David heard of this he anointed Solomon to be king because that is who God picked to be king. -

Solomon's temple
The temple was a permanent building to replace the tabernacle. It was built with great detail and beauty. It was built in silence, because the sawing and chiseling was done away from where the temple was. -

Reigned for 12 years. He was a evil king in God's eyes. He built the city Samaria. He did more evil then any of the kings before him. -

Asa
He was the son of Abijah. Unlike his father he ruled as a good king in Judah. He reigned for fourty-one years. His name means "God has healed". He wanted to have a true worship in his kingdom. -

Nadab
Son of Jeroboam. Ruled as a wicked king like his father. His name means " generous". Reigned less then two years. In battle Baasha killed him and took the throne. -
Period: 933 BCE to 886 BCE
Baasha
Reigned for 24 years. He was also a wicked king. He was such a bad king he influenced Israel to become bad and wicked. He was the son of Abijah. -

Solomon death
Solomon died of old age. He wrote Song of Solomon, Proverbs, Ecclesiastes. -

Ahab Reign
He was a wicked king. His wife Jezebel was a wicked person too. He worshiped baal. The dogs licked up his blood, in the chariot which was were he died in battle. -

ruled Judah for three years. His name means " Yahweh id father". He was the son if Rehoboam. He was a wicked King like his father. He was a man of battle. -

Elah
reigned for 2 years. Son of Baasha. Was murdered by Zimri. His name means "Baal roars". -

Zimri
Zimri is the one who murdered Elah. Reigned for 7 DAYS!!!! He burned the kings house (Omri). Then comets suicide. -

Son of Asa. Reigned over Judah for 25 years partly with his father. Was a good king in God's eyes. -

Athaliah
This is Joash's grandmother. She killed all the heirs to the throne. She didn't kill Joash because he was hidden from her. She was the daughter from Ahab and Jezebel. Wicked when she reigned. -

Had double the spirt of Elijah. Was with Elijah most of his life. Did many miracles. Made a prophets school -

He reigned for twelve years. His father was Ahab. He reigned Israel in Samaria. -

Was a bad king. He reigned for two years. Fell through the lattice. -

He reigned for 28 years. He removed baal worship. For the most part he was a good king. -

The Drought
This drought is when Elijah was running from Ahab who wanted to kill Elijah. Elijah was feed by ravens which God sent to him. -

Mt. Carmel (alter of baal)
After running from Ahab, Elijah said we will build two alters and the god who lights yours on fire is the one true God. The they build two alters the baal alter did not light on fire. Then the true God's alter did light up with water on the alter. After this Elijah and Ahab went up onto Mt. Carel. -

Elisha becomes a Prophet
When Elijah go in the fiery chariot. Elijah asked if he wanted any thing and Elisha said double the sprit of Elijah. He got it. He is able to do miracles. -

Elisha and the Widow's oil
Elisha meets this widow who was in debt and poor. Elisha asked if she had anything valuable in her house. She said she had a little bit of oil. Elisha told her to get as many vessels as possible. ANd fill them up with oil. When she poured the oil in her oil container never ran dry. -

Elisha unpoisoned the stew
There was a famine. The prophets are hungry so they get food form the woods. The stew ends up poisoned. So Elisha puts flower in the stew and is good. -

His father was Ahaziah. His father died when Joash was very young. His grandmother reigned. She kill all Joash brother. The only reason he was not killed was because he was hidden away. He was 7 years old when he started reigning. He was a good king. -

Son of Joash. Reigned for 41 years. He was one of the strongest kings in Israel. Rules over Israel. -

was king at 16 years old. Turn back to God. Mostly a good king. At the end of his reign, he tried to do an offering. Got leprosy. Reigned for 52 years. -

Menahem
He reigned for 10 years over Israel. He was a king. He ripped open all the pregnant women and killed the babys. -

Shallum
He reigned for 1 month in Samaria. Menahem killed Shallum. -

He reigned for 20 years. He reigned over Israel. He was an evil king. Killed Pekahiah. -

He reigned over Israel for 6 monthes. He did evil in the sight of the Lord. Shallum killed him to reign. -
