Samuel was born to Hannah, who was barren but prayed to the lord. She promised the lord that she would dedicate him to the lord after she had given birth to him. -
Samuel started serving in the temple at a young age after his mother had weaned him. She did this because she had promised God that if he would let her have a child she would dedicate him to the lord. -
Samuel served at the temple after he was weaned. His mom would come every year and bring him a new tunic. He reigned for all his life after he was weaned.

Saul first becomes king after Samuel first anoints him secretly when he was looking for his fathers donkeys. Although he was officially crowned king when he was anointed by Samuel in front of the whole congregation of Israel. -
Saul started to reign after he was crowned king by Samuel in 1050 bce he ended his reign when he died at battle with the philistines at 1010 bce. After he died avid became king.

David and Jonathan are together and they make a covenant to be loyal to each other till they died. To prove this and show his loyalty he gave him his robe, armor, and weapons to David. -
Saul is at war against the philistines and of the philistine men named goliath who was a giant. He said that they should not all fight and that only him and someone from the Israelites fight and whoever loses will become the others servants. None of the Israelites would go so David went up and fault him with a sling. -
Jonathan eats honey after his father saul had bound the whole army to an oath not to eat until they took over the philistines. So when saul heard about this he was going to kill him but some of the men saved him because he did not know that his father bound the army to that oath. -
David was first anointed king when he was age thirty, but he was officially king until Saul died going to battle against the philistines. After that he became king and reigned over Israel for forty years. -
While Saul and his men were fighting the philistines. Jonathan said to his armor bearer come let us go up to the philistine garrison, so they did and they killed 20 men and set the philistines to panic and then the whole Israelite army pursued them. -
David started to officially reign after Saul died in battle at 1010 bce. He reigned for forty years and ended his reign in 970 bce.

Jonathan died alongside his father and brothers during a final fight with the philistines. This fight was at "Mount Gilboa" and they lost the fight. -
Saul died when he was at war with the philistines. The archers found him and wounded him badly. When he saw that he was going to die he said to his armor bearer to kill him so he would not die by the hand of the philistines. But his armor bearer would not so he fell on his own sword. -
David did not go out to battle with his army and was on his roof and saw a woman bathing. He asked who she was and they told him that she was the wife of Uriah. So david told Joab to put Uriah in the front of the battle line and then pull away from him so that he dies. So Joab did so and Uriah died. Then david married Bathsheba. -
Nathan the prophet rebukes david after he killed Uriah and married Bathsheba. He gave an illustration of a man that had a little ewe sheep and a rich man had a friend over and didnt want to kill his own sheep so he took the poor man's sheep for his friend. David says that the rich man shall die but Nathan tells him that he is the man. So david repents and his not killed, but his son is. -
Ahab was going to kill Elijah so God told him to go to a brook. So he went and the ravens gave him meat and bread to eat and he drank from the brook. -
David gives Solomon all the things that he stored up for the temple and the plans for it. He then prays in the sight of the assembly of Israel and Solomon is anointed king. -
Solomon was king after David and was the wisest man that ever lived. He had many wives and lots and lots of wealth. He built the temple of the lord and built a wall around it. He also made his palace and extended the way the whole way around his palace and the temple.

Solomon builds the temple with cedars of Lebanon, gold, and stone, silver, bronze, olive wood, and cypress wood. Hiram gave his men to work with Solomons men at cutting cedars for the temple. Solomon pays him by giving food and sleeping quarters for his men. The stone was cut at the quarry so that no iron tool was being used at the temple site.

Hiram helped Solomon build the temple by sending his men to help cut cedars and cypress wood and hauling them down to the Mediterranean sea. Then Solomons men would get the wood and bring it to the temple cite and use them to build it. Solomon paid Hiram by giving his men food and sleeping quarters. -
The night after Solomon offered one thousand sacrifices to the lord the lord came to him in a dream. He asked him what he wanted and Solomon asked for wisdom and God gave it to him, so he was the wisest man that ever lived. -
Solomon had 700 wives and 300 concubines and they turned his heart away from God. He followed Astaroth and milkom. -
After Solomon was king the queen of Sheba heard of his wisdom and came to visit him and ask him hard questions. He answered them all so Sheba gave him 9,000 pounds of gold. -
Rehoboam lifted Israel's taxes to more than what his father had them at. So when Rehoboams tax collector comes they stone him to death and do not pay the taxes. -
Jeroboam thought that if the people keep going the whole way to Jerusalem to worship and offer sacrifices to the lord then they will follow Rehoboam and will kill me. So he made two golden calves and set them up in Israel for the people to worship. So all the people sinned against the lord and worshiped them and set up other shrines and high places. -
Rehoboam was king over Israel/Judah after king Solomon. The people asked him to lighten the load that his father had put on the but he did not listen to them or the elders that agreed with them but he listened to the young men that lived with him.

Israel splits when Rehoboam king of Judah and Jeroboam king of Israel reigned. This happened after Solomon died. -
Abijah the son of Jeroboam fell sick and Jeroboam told his wife to disguise herself and go to the prophet named Ahijah. But the lord came to Ahijah and told him what Jeroboams wife was trying to do so Ahijah told her that the son will die.

Abijah finished a speech and right when he is done the people realizes that they are surrounded by the army of Jeroboam. So they cried out to the lord and the lord saved Abijah for their sake but Abijah did not cry out to the lord for help. -
Abijah was king of Judah and reigned for three years. He did evil in the eyes of the lord and worshiped idols.

He was king of Judah and reigned for forty one years. He did what was right in the eyes of the lord and destroys all the Ashtaroth's.

He was king of Israel and reigned two years. He did evil in the eyes of the lord and worshiped idols.

Baasha was king of Israel and reigned for twenty four years. He did evil in the eyes of the lord.

An Ethiopian king came and made war with Asa. He had a million soldiers and 300 chariots. Asa prayed to the lord and the lord helped them and they killed all the Ethiopians. -
He banished all the gods from the land and made a vow that he would kill everyone that worshiped a god other then God. So when his grandmother made a Astaroth poll he destroyed it and killed her.

Elah was king of Israel and reigned for two years. He did evil in the eyes of the lord. Elah was Baasha's son.

Zimri reigned for seven days in Israel until he died by burning himself inside the palace. He did evil in the eyes of the lord. -
Omri was king of Israel and reigned for twelve years. He did evil in the eyes of the lord more than everyone before him.

The Ammonites, Moabites, and Manuites, came against Jehoshaphat so Jehoshaphat asked the prophet of the lord what he should do. He said that they would not have to fight and that the lord would fight for them. So the lord made them turn and kill each other. So Jehoshaphat went and took three whole days just to collect the spoil. Then he allies himself with Ahaziah Ahab's son and makes merchant ships to get more money so God punishes him and makes the ships sink. -
He made a covenant with the king of Syria. Syria attacked Israel and Judah made forts and city's with the wall that Israel made. A prophet came to Asa and told him he would have war and the rest of his life, because he did that. He got a disease and died because he put the prophet in jail. -
After a while the brook dried up so the lord told him to go to Zarephath. So when he goes he askes a widow to give him bread and water. So she does even though she only had a handful of flour and bit of bread. So after she did that the flour and oil never run out. After a while the widows son dies, and Elijah goes up to a upstairs room and prayed for him and God bring him back to life. -
Ahab was king of Israel and reigned for twenty two year. He did more evil in the eyes of the lord than every king before him.

Jehoshaphat was king of Judah and he was righteous in the eyes of the lord. He reigned for twenty five years.

Elijah comes to Ahab and challenges him see which God answers with fire and burns the sacrificed. So they agreed and went to mount Carmel. So they did and the prophets of baal tries to get baal to light the sacrifice. But Baal did not listen to them. So Elijah did his and prayed to God and God answered in fire from heaven and burned up the whole alter and the sacrifice. So he told everyone to kill the prophets of Baal and they did. Than Elijah prayed to God and the rain came. -
Jezebel said that she would kill Elijah by this time tomorrow or else she should die. So Elijah went a days journey into the desert. A angel of the came to him and gave him food twice and then he travels for forty days and forty days without eating food or sleeping. He goes into a cave and so the lord sent a strong wind, earthquake, and then a whisper. God was in the whisper and told Elijah to Anoint Hazael king of Syria, Jehu king of Israel, and Elisha prophet after you. -
Ahab asked Naboth the Jezreelite to use his vineyard as a garden but Naboth said no so Ahab goes into his room and cried. Jezebel comes into the room and askes him why he was mad. He told her, and she said that she would get the vineyard for him. She had Naboth falsely accused and stoned. Elijah comes to Ahab and tells him that he will cut of every male relative from him and his wife shall be eaten by dogs. But Ahab repented so it came in the days of his son. -
Ben-Hadad takes all the gold, silver, best wives, and children from Ahab, which Ahab just gave to him. So ben-Hadad asked for more but Ahab did not give it to him so he attacked but Ahab wone. He did not kill Ben-Hadad so the prophet of the lord said that Ahab would die in battle because he let him get away. -
Ahab wants to go up and fight Assyria. All the prophets tell him that he should but Micaiah says he should not go up because he will die but he does and gets hit by an arrow and bleeds out. -
Ahab askes Jehoshaphat to go up with him against Ramoth Gilead. Jehoshaphat said yes, So Ahab asks the four hundred prophets of false Gods and they all prophesied that he will win. Jehoshaphat said there is another prophet of the lord that we can inquire of, so Ahab said there is still one prophet of the lord but he always prophesies bad about me. Jehoshaphat said bring him up anyway, so Maakah came up and told Ahab not to go for he will die. Ahab said “see he only prophesies bad about me.” -
Ahaziah was king of Israel and son of Ahab. He did evil in the eyes of the lord and reigned two years.

Ahaziah was fighting on a roof and fell and hurt himself badly. So he asked the prophet of the god of baal, and he said that he would die. So he sent groups of fifty's to ask Elijah and Elijah sent fire down and killed two of them but the third one he listens to and tells him that the king will die. So Ahaziah dies. -
Elijah and Elisha cross the Jordan on dry ground as all the prophets watch them. Elijah askes Elisha what he wants to have when he is taken up to heaven so he said that he wants a double portion of his spirit. Then a fiery chariot comes and takes Elijah up with him and Elijah says "My father, My father! The chariots of Israel and its horsemen!" (important!) So than Elisha crosses over the Jordan on dry land, Because he has the double portion of Elijah's Spirit. -
Elisha is walking alone and some boys come out and jeer him and says go up you bald head. So he calls down a curse and bears come out and mauled forty two of them. -
After his brother died he becomes king and he goes to war with Josaphat and Edom against Moab. On the way they passed through a desert and ran out of water and were all very thirsty. So they ask if there is a man of God with them to inquire of the lord. So they find Elisha and he askes God and God Fills the river with water and then thy win the battle, against Moab.

Elisha passes by the Woman's house and eats supper with them. He makes it a habit and usually comes to eat there. So they made him a little room on top of the house for Elisha. So Elisha goes there to eat and sleep for the night. So Elisha wants to repay them and so he said they will have children because they were old and did not have children. They have a boy and after he is grown up he dies. So Elisha goes up to the room and lays on top of the boy and prays. Then son comes back to life. -
Jehoram was king of Judah. He did evil in the eyes of the lord.

Naman, the commander of the army of the king of Aram had leprosy. So his servant told him to go to Israel and get healed. So he goes to Elisha and Elisha tells him to go and dip himself seven times in the Jordan River. Naman goes storming off and says why cannot I wash in some other river for the Jordan is not clean. Although Naaman's servants urged him to, so he did and was healed of his leprosy. -
The king of Assyria is told that Elisha can hear what he says in his bedrooms. So he sends his whole army to kill Elisha. So Elisha prayed to the lord and asked him to make them blind so the lord made them blind. Elisha then leads them to Samaria and prays that the lord would take there blindness away so the lord did. Elisha then feeds them and sends them back to the king of Assyria. -
Hazel went to Elisha to ask if ben-Haddad king of Syria will lice. he said yes and Elisha started to weep. Hazel than murders Ben-Haddad and becomes king of Syria. -
Israel is under siege by Syria and there is a great famine. Than some lepers decided to go into the camp of the Syrians to see if they would spar them. They found out that the Syrians had fled and left all there stuff behind the whole way to Syria. Then the lepers start to gather it and tell the rest of the people about it and they all go and plunder it. -
Jehu said that he would worship Baal so he makes a celebration and feast for Baal. He gathers all the prophets of Baal together and tells them to kick out all the people that worship God. So they kick them all out and then Jehu goes in and kills all the worshipers of Baal. -
When Athaliah heard that her son was killed by Jehu. She killed all the house of Judah.

Ahaziah was king of Judah and was the son of Jehoram king of Judah. He did evil in the eyes of the lord -
Jehu conspires against Jehoram king of Judah and goes to Israel. He goes and Jehoram comes out to him and Jehu shoots him with all his might in between the shoulders and he died. Jehoram tells Ahaziah his nephew to flees and he does but Jehu overtakes him and kills him. -
Jezebel hears that Jehu is coming and puts makeup on and waits for him to come. When he comes he commands them to throw her down the window so they throw her down. Jehu than tramples her with his chariot and goes home and eats supper. After he eats he feels guilty and goes to bury her but only her skull hands and feet are left because the dogs eat her as Elijah said.

Queen Athaliah kills all the royal family. So one of Ahaziah's sisters Jehoshabeath took Joash as a young child and hid him for six years in the temple while Athaliah reigned. At the end of the six years they crown him king and kill Athaliah. -
Jehoahaz was king of Israel and reigned in Samaria. He did evil in the eyes of the lord and reigned for Seventeen years.

Jeroboam was king of Israel and reigned for forty one years. He did Evil in the eyes of the lord.

Joash's is king of Judah and reigned for forty years. He was righteous in the eyes of the lord. He decided to repair the house of the lord, but they needed money. So the set chest at the entrance of the house of the lord. The people came and gave offerings to build the temple and put it in the chest. Once they had enough money they repaired the temple.

Jehoash was king of Israel for sixteen years. His father was Jehoahaz and he followed in is fathers ways and did evil in the eyes of the lord.

Amaziah was twenty five years old when he started to reign and reigned for twenty nine years over Judah. He did what was right in the eyes of the lord. Although he did not destroy the high places and the people still offered sacrifices at them. He decided to go war against the Edomites and hired one hundred thousand Israelites. Although a man of God told him he doesn't need them so he doesn't take them and wins. The men that were sent home got made and killed three thousand men of Israel.

Uzziah was king of Judah and reigned for fifty one years. He did what was right in the eyes of the lord. He set himself to seek the lord and prospered because of that. Although he becomes prideful and goes into the temple to offer incense so the priests tell him to stop. But he gets mad and so the lord struck him with leprosy, and his son Jotham reigns in his place.

Isaiah was a prophet of the lord and prophesied that the lord Jesus Christ would come and die for our sins. He also told the people of Israel what the lord had for them. In the end he died by being executed by Manasseh king of Judah.

Shallum was king of Israel and reigned for one month. He did evil in the eyes of the lord. -
Zachariah was the son of Jeroboam and was king of Israel. He did what was evil in the eyes of the lord. -
Menahem was king of Israel and reigned for ten years after he killed Shallum king of Israel. He did evil in the eyes of the lord.

Pekahiah was king of Israel and reigned for two years after he killed Menahem king of Israel. He did evil in the eyes of the lord.

Pekah was king of Israel and reigned for twenty years after he killed Pekahiah king of Israel. He did evil in the eyes of the lord.

Hoshea was king of Israel and reigned nine years after he killed Pekah king of Israel. He did evil in the eyes of the lord.

Jotham was king of Judah and reigned for sixteen years. He did what was right in the eyes of the lord.

Ahaz was king of Judah and reigned for sixteen years he did what was evil in the lord and worshiped idols and sacrificed his son to an idol.

Hezekiah said that they were going to celebrate the Passover more then ever before. So they celebrate it and offered over 23,000 animals to the lord and there is not enough priests to sacrifice them so they have to consecrate more and they don't get it done in time. -
Hezekiah was king of Judah and reigned for twenty nine years. He did what was right in the eyes of the lord.

The king of Assyria comes and takes over all the city's of Judah except Jerusalem. They put Jerusalem under siege and they tell all the Israelites that they will come take them over. He also tells them to surrender and come and have a good life with him and have good land and vineyards. Hezekiah encouraged them and prayed that God would save them so God goes into the Assyrian camp and kills all the mighty men, officers, and commanders. So the king of Assyria goes home. -
Hezekiah gets sick and askes Isaiah if he would die. Isaiah said that he would. So Hezekiah humbled himself and prays to God so God tells Isaiah to tell him that he would give him fifteen more years. -
The Babylonians come and ask him if he can move the sun whenever he want to so he says yes and shows them all the things in the temple. So the lord tells him that his descendants will be punished for that. -
Manasseh was king of Judah and reigned for fifty five years. He did evil in the eyes of the lord and did not follow the way of his father Hezekiah. So he aroused the anger of the Lord and the Lord sent the king of Assyria to come and take the people and Manasseh prisoners. Manasseh pleaded with the Lord and humbled himself greatly before God and the Lord was moved with compassion for him so he brought him back to his land. Manasseh stopped serving other Gods and served the lord God till he died.

Amon was king of Judah and reigned for two years. He did evil in the eyes of the lord and did not turn from the ways of his father Manasseh.

Josiah was king of Judah started reigning when he was eight and reigned for thirty one years. He did what was right in the eyes of the lord.

When Josiah was sixteen he decided to commit his life to the lord and destroy all the idols. He destroyed all the idols in Judah, and Israel and ground them into powder and sprinkled it on top of the graves of the people that worshiped them.

Josiah decides to have the biggest Passover that was ever celebrated. He sacrificed thirty three thousand animals and the people gave seven thousand. -
Josiah was in a back room and Hilkiah found the book of the law and gave it to Josiah. So Josiah reads it is afraid that they will get destroyed because they were not following the law. So he askes Huldah the prophet of the lord and she says that the lord will not destroy them if they repent so Josiah and the people repent. -
Jehoiakim was king of Judah and reigned for eleven years. He did what was evil in the eyes of the lord.

Jehoahaz was king of Judah and reigned for three months. He did what was evil in the eyes of the lord.

Jehoiachin was king of Judah and reigned for three months and ten days. He did what was evil in the eyes of the lord. -
Zedekiah was king of Judah under Babylon and reigned for eleven years. He did what was evil in the eyes of the lord.

Gedaliah was king of Judah and reined under Babylon he reined for seven months and did what was evil in the eyes of the lord.
