    Samuel is born after his mom Hannah had prayed for a child. Because God gave her the child that she wanted Hannah dedicated Samuel to God. Once Samuel was of age he went and lived with Eli the priest in the temple.

    Samuel was in bed and he heard someone calling his name. He went to Eli thinking that it was him calling. this happened twice until Eli told him that it might be God and then it was. What God told Samuel he was supposed to pass on to Eli. the message was judgment for Eli for not rebuking his sons.

    By this time Samuel is the Priest over Israel. Samuel had lived all of his growing up years in the temple with Eli. the only reason he is anointing Saul is because the people want a king. Samuel was against it and God consented but knew that it would bring Israel destruction.

Samuel was the only one who was supposed to give sacrifices because he was the priest. Saul's army was starting to scatter once they realized how may more Philistines were there so Saul quickly gave a sacrifice so that they could start fighting. This was not allowed and made Samuel unhappy because Saul had disobeyed the rules.

    he was in the wilderness and God was feeding him by having birds bring him food. then he goes to a widow's house who also has a son. because the widow fed him as long as there was a drought her flour and oil jar was full and it never ran out. then her son died and Elijah raised him back to life with the power of God for the widow. then she believed that God was real.

Elijah then captured the prophets of Baal and killed them all. all this happened on mount Carmel

    takes a days journey into the wilderness. then he asks God to let him die. an angel touched him and told him to eat after he ate and drank he went back to sleep. this happened a second time. with the strength of the food he didn't have to eat or sleep for the next 40 days. he finds a cave a mount Horeb. a strong wind came by and then a earthquake and then fire and God wasn't in them. but then god whispered in a still small voice.

    ben-hadad was the king of Syria and was in war with the Israelites. he was winning and then told Ahab that if he didn't give him all his silver, gold, wives and children he would kill them. he tries it again and Ahab says no. then ben-hadad plans to attach him instead but Ahab won. then ben-hadad then starts ridiculing god and god didn't like that so he told the Israelites that they would win.

    Naboth owned a vineyard that had been passed down through his family. Ahab wanted that vineyard but was refused. jezebel came up with a plan to have Naboth stoned. he died and then she told Ahab to go and claim the vineyard. because of this Elijah came and told him that he and jezebel would be eaten by the dogs.

    Josephat and Ahab have the prophets prophesy if they will win a battle. Micaiah prophesied that Ahab wouldn't return if he went to battle. this made Ahab really mad and he imprisoned Micaiah. Ahab then dies in battle after trying to disguised himself as a common soldier instead of a king. a man drew his bow at random and shot Ahab in the shoulder. Ahab died later that night.

    Ahaziah was a bad king and didn't follow God at all. he reigned for 2 years over Israel. Ahaziah gets injured and he inquires of a God of baal if he were to get better. Elijah was sent by God to go and tell him that he was going to die. then the king sent 50 to go and get Elijah and Elijah just sent fire down on them and they died this happened 2 times. and then Elijah went with the people. Elijah prophecies that Ahaziah would die and then he did.

    The Moabites and a few other countries thought that Jehoshaphat was getting too powerful so they went to war against them. instead of seeking allies Jehoshaphat went to God and God told him that he would fight for him and they would win. once they won Jehoshaphat had the whole country praise god and thank him for winning the battle.

    jehoram reigned 8 years in Israel and was going to fight Moab. they were in a dry valley and they needed water so they ask Elisha if God will give them some. God filled the valley with water overnight but Moab thought the three kings who they were going to fight had killed each other and that the water was blood. Moab goes on expecting to collect the spoil but when they got to the Israelites camp they were surprised and lost the battle.

    Elijah and Elisha were traveling around and Elisha knew that it was soon time for Elijah to leave. in their travels they needed to cross the Jordan(all the people of Jericho watched them leave) so Elijah rolled up his cloak and hit the water with is and the water parted. when Elijah was soon going to part he asked Elisha if there was anything that he wanted and he asked for a double portion of his spirit. then chariots and horses of fire came and picked up Elijah and took him to heaven.

    this woman had let Elisha stay at her house several times when he was traveling around and gave him lots of meals. Elisha is grateful to them so he wants to do something for them. they didn't have any children so Elisha told the woman that she would have a son. she had a son and he grew up. they were in the fields and the son complains that his head hurts so he went home. his mom was holding him in his room and he died. the woman went to get Elisha to raise him from the dead and he did.

    Naaman has a little girl who is a captive from Israel. Naaman had leprosy and wants to be healed. the little girl tells his wife that there is a man who can heal him (Elisha). in order for Naaman to be healed he had to dip in the Jordan river 7 times. he does and is healed. he then goes and gives a bunch of gifts to Elisha but he refuses. Elisha has a servant who then ran after Naaman and askes for a gift. Elisha tells ghazi that he will have leprosy from Naaman because of his sin.

    he took a present with him to Elisha to see if Ben-hadad would recover from sickness. Elisha says that he will live but Elisha knew that he would die. Elisha also says that hazel will become king over Syria. hazel goes back and executes ben-hadad and them becomes king.

    God was telling Elisha what the Syrians was going to do so the Israelites could avoid trouble. the king finds out and sends his army to go and kill him. they surrounded the city where Elisha was and in the morning Elisha sees it but doesn't worry. the mountains around Elijah were filled with angels and chariots of fire.

    the evil king Athaliah was going around and killing all of the royal family so that she could have power. Jehosheba took Joash and hid him in the temple so that the line of David could continue. her husband was the high priest of the time so they hid Joash and his nurse in a bedroom in the temple. he hides there for six years. after those years they bring out Joash when he was 6 and they made him king. Athaliah was then executed.

    he reigned for forty years over Judah. he did what was right in the sight of the lord. he was 7 when he first started to reign. one of the things that he did was restore the temple after it had been neglected for a little while. he was wounded in a war against the Syrians and was then assassinated by some of his servants who didn't like that he killed Zachariah.

    Ben-hadad takes his entire army and goes to conquer Israel. there is a famine and it's that intense that the people were eating bird poop. then they started eating children. the king gets mad at Elisha for not stopping the famine. Elisha says that in 24 hours there will be too much food. lepers went through the camp of Syrians so that they could find food but nobody was there. they went and told the king and everyone got food.

    Ahab still has 70 sons left and jehu wants to fight the best one so that it is clear who is king. they surrender but jehu says that to show there loyalty they must bring him the heads of the 70 sons. they did and jehu considered this God's judgment on Ahab's family.

    she hears that jehu is coming after her so the put on make-up and does her hair. then she stands at the window waiting for him to come. once he comes he tells the people standing behind her to throw her out the window. they did and then he ran his chariot over her. jehu leaves and eats supper goes back to burry Jezebel but the dogs ate her except her skull, palms, and feet.

    Jehu said that Ahab and Jezebel worshipped Baal a little but he was gonna worship him completely. Jehu then tells everyone that they are gonna make a holiday for Baal so every one was gathered in the temple. He also said that if you worshipped God then you were supposed to leave first. Jehu then tells his guards to come inside and kill everyone because they were Baal worshippers.

    Ahaziah did what was wrong in the sight of the lord. his father in law was Ahab. he was 22 years old when he started to reign and he reigned for 1 year. he also reigned in Judah.

    Jehu's reign

    He was king over Israel and reigned for 28 years. he was supposed to be anointed by Elijah he was the murder of Jehoram and Ahaziah. Jehoram was killed by an arrow fleeing from jehu then Ahaziah fled too and was also killed. he has assassinated the kings of Judah and Israel.

    Zachariah killed.

    Zachariah's father was Jehoiada who had helped Joash. Joash was worshipping idols and not following God so Zachariah rose and prophesied against Joash. Joash didn't like this so he had Zachariah killed. this was Joash killing his cousin with no mercy for how kind his father was to Joash. at this time it is possible that Zachariah was also the high priest.

    he reigned over Israel for 17 years. he did evil in the sight of the lord so God punished him by having Israel taken over by the Syrians and Hazel. he then sought the lord and God had mercy on him. he wasn't truly committed to God because he still worshipped idols and such.

    He reigned for 16 years over Israel. he was a evil king and followed in the footsteps of the kings before him. his father was Jehohaz who reigned before him.

    Elisha had an illness and the king of Israel came and asked for power to defeat the Syrians. Elisha had the king hit arrows on the ground he hit them 3 times and then Elisha said that that was the amount of battles that Israel would win over the Syrians. Elisha said that if he would have hit the ground 5 or 6 times then the Syrians would have been wiped out.

    Amaziah's reign

    Amaziah was 25 when he started to reign. he reigned 29 yrs over Judah and did good in the sight of God but not completely. Part way through his reign he turned to the gods of the Edomites and not God. This made God mad and he was determined to destroy him. After that Israel and Judah went to war against each other and Judah was defeated. He lived 15 yrs after that but then was buried with his fathers in the city of David.

    he reigned over Israel in Samaria. He was an evil king causing Israel to sin. one of the things that he did was that he restored the border of Israel. by this time God had almost given up hope on Israel as they are a wicked country.

    he was 16 when he started to reign and he reigned for 52 yrs in Judah. he was a good king and as long as he followed God he prospered. he became a very strong king and was well known. he had lots of fields and vineyards because he loved the dirt and farming.

    he was a prophet who started part way through Uzziah's reign and died sometimes in Manasseh's. he also wrote the book of Isaiah.

    he reigned over israel for 6 months. he was an evil king. shallum was his murderer and then reigned in his place.

    Uzzah's pride was the cause of his destruction. Uzziah went to offer incense to God which was wrong because only the priests were supposed to. some men tried to stop him but he got mad at them and did it anyway. Because he did this God gave him leprosy on his forehead. this ended his reign and his son started to reign in place.

    he was 25 when he started to reign over Israel. he reigned for 16 yrs. He was a good king who did right and because of this God helped him prosper. he grew mighty and had power over the ammonites. He is the only king in all of Israel and Judah who nothing is said bad about.

    he reigned over Israel and reigned for ten years. he was an evil king. he took money from all the rich in Israel so that he could pay the king of Assyria to not come and fight. all the rich gave 50 shekels of silver so that the Assyrians would stay away.

    he reigned over Israel for 2 years. he was am evil king. he was murdered by Pekah.

    He reigned over Israel for 20 years. was killed by Hoshea. during his reign the king of Assyria came and over took some cities.

    Ahaz's reign

    he was 20 when he started to reign. he reigned 16 yrs in Jerusalem as an evil king. he did a lot of idol worship and sacrificed his son. he partnered with the Assyrians but that ended up causing them more affliction than strength. they had to move around things in the temple for the Assyrians gods and then he later ended up closing the temple. then when that didn't work out he turned to even more idol worship which made God even more angrier at him. he was not buried with the kings.

    He reigned for 9 years and did evil in God's sight. during his reign the king of Assyria came and over took him using him as a puppet. in the 9th year of his reign he fully over took Israel because they did not follow God but instead did wicked things.

    he destroyed all the false gods and altars. then he reopened the temple and had the priests in it again. he destroyed mosses' serpent because people were worshipping it. he sacrificed over 4,000 sacrifices in one day but couldn't quite finished it because there weren't enough priests. he asked God to forgive them because they couldn't do the Passover properly.

    he started to reign when he was 25. he reigned over Judah and reigned for 29 years. the first thing that he did was restore worship in Judah. he destroyed all the false gods and altars. then he reopened the temple and had the priests in it again. he destroyed Moses' serpent

    the Assyrian are Judah's biggest threat and go to battle with Judah. Judah is losing and they are down to Jerusalem. the king of Assyria sent a messenger to tell them that their God wouldn't come through for them and that they shouldn't listen to Hezekiah. then they sent a letter Hezekiah takes it to God and askes him what he is gonna do about it. Isaiah tells Hezekiah that God will fight the battle for him. that night and angel kills 185,000 people. the Assyrians go home and then the king died

    Hezekiah askes Isaiah if he will recover and Isaiah said that he won't so he should get his house ready. Hezekiah then prays to God and God hears him. God then tells Isaiah to tell Hezekiah that he will give him a sign. does he want the sun to go back or forward 10 hrs. Hezekiah picks backwards. Hezekiah then lives 15 more yrs.

    the Babylonians hear of the sun going back 10 hrs and come to visit. Hezekiah shows them everything and even takes them into the temple. God punishes him for this by saying that all he will be captured and they will be overthrown but because he was good for the rest o his life it will happen to his descendants and not him. Hezekiah doesn't care because it won't happen to him.

    Manasseh's reign

    he was 12 when he started to reign and he reigned for 55 years. he was an evil king an idol worshipper. the altars and high places for gods that his father destroyed he built back up and built altars in the house of the lord. he even sacrificed his sons. Manasseh is considered to be the worst king out of all the kings. as punishment the Assyrians capture Manasseh. during this time he prayed to God and God delivered him and Manasseh repented. the people still didn't follow God but Manasseh did.

    Amon's reign

    Amon was the son of Manasseh and started to reign when he was 22. he did evil like his father and worshipped lots of gods. his servants conspired against him and killed him. the people of Judah then went and killed everyone who had part in killing Amon. Amon's son Josiah reigned in his place.

    Josiah was 8 when he started to reign. he was a good king who reigned 31yrs. he died because of being stubborn. pharaoh wanted through to go and fight the Assyrians. Josiah said no and while they were passing thought started to fight. he also had dressed up as a normal soldier which then got him killed by an archer.

    he starts by tearing down all the idols and high places in Jerusalem. one he was done with Jerusalem he moved on to all of Judah. after Judah he even went into Israel and destroyed some. he did this for 10 years.

    Hilkiah was working on rebuilding the temple and found the book of the law that was given to Moses. they didn't know what it was so they took it to the king. Josiah read the book and realized that they weren't following God the way that they should have. because Josiah followed god the prophet said that punishment will come after his reign. then they made a covenant that they would follow God rightly so that maybe they could be forgiven from their punishment. then they celebrated the Passover.

    he was 23 when he started to reign. he only reigned for 3 months. his father was Josiah. he was overtaken by Egypt. he was a bad king.

    Jehoachin's reign

    he was 17 when he started to reign and reigned for 3 months 10 days. he was an evil king also under the rule of Nebuchadnezzar. while he was in captivity he repented and God heard him. then nebuchadnezzar brought him out of prison and started to treat him nicely. he would eat at the kings table every day.

    he reigned for 11 years and was 21 yrs. old. he was an evil king and did not humble himself in front of Jerimiah. he hardened his heart against God and rebelled against the king of Babylon. the priests and other people didn't follow God either and polluted the house of the Lord again.

    Gedaliah made governor

    he was made governor over Judah by the king of Babylon. he swore to the people that if they served the king of Babylon then they would be safe. in his 7th month as governor 10 people came and killed him. then the people rebelled against Babylon for the 4th time.
