An angry crowed gathered near the Massachusets State House and shouted at British regulars. They threw rocks and snowballs at the soilders. As the crowed got closer, the soilders fired their guns. Five colonists died, including an african american sailor named Crispus Attucks.

" NO TAXATION WITHOUT REPRESENTATION!" A large group of patriots called the Sons of Liberty dressed up as indians and boarded a British ship filled with tea. They dumped all of the tea into the harobr. They were retaliating against the British tea act.

The Continental Congress was called together to discuss the Kings taxes and what we were going to do about them. They also wrote a petition to try and tell the King he was being unfair. It had no effect.

The British planned to march to the town of Lexington, seize colonial amunition, and capture Sam Adams and John Hancock. Unfortunatley for them, Paul Revere heard about it. He rode to Lexington and warned the Minute Men. When the British arrived in the morning, they faced the local minute men. The British won Lexington, but the patriots gained more ground at Concord and chased the redcoats back to Boston.

Finally in Yorktown, Virginia Lord Cornwallis was forced to surrender to George Washington. There now was a new country on the map.
