This was the effect of Giuseppe Di Vittorio on behalf of the communist party, Achille Grandi on behalf of Christian Democracy, and Emilio Canevari on behalf of PSI signed the Pact of Rome. This effects my organization because they might have not been here if they hadn't split from this group.

Because of the CGIL enforcing links, they set out a general strike to De Gasperi because of hurting the general secretary when they attacked. This is one of the reasons my organization split from the General Italian Workers Union.

A group of catholic trade unionists, republicans, and social democrats split from the CIGL and founded the new union called LCIGL (Libera CIGL) later called the Italian Confederation of Workers' Trade Unions (CISL). This may have been a chain effect with other groups splitting from the union which may have affected my organizations decision.

Due to the Violent events may 17, 1949, a group of non-communists left the CGIL and created FIL. This is another example of an organization leaving the CGIL which likely caused a trend.

They founded a republican union separate from the General Italian Workers Union that they called Italian Labor Union (Unione Italiano del Lavoro) which now is a national trade center in Italy. This effects my organization because this is how they were originally founded.
