The significance is not stealing, and treating your parents with honor. The ten commandments tells us to serve God in our words and our actions.

    Moses possessed no book of God's Word,and no one went to him to give him fellowship. He just went to the Wilderness. Wandering in the wilderness teaches us that walking with him gives us peace and comfort.

    Joshua leads Israel to settle into the promise land. The significance of Canaan is Covenant faithfulness. God told Abraham and his followers to leave Mesopotamia and go into Canaan.
