    required applicants for citizenship to have declared intention to becoming a citizen five years prior to applicatoin, and lived in the United States 14 years when the application was admitted.

  • 1941 Wartime Measure

    This Act held that whenever any American diplomatic or consular officer knew or had a reason to believe that any alien sought to enter the United States for the purpose of engaging in activities which will endanger society they could refuse any visa or temporary work visa, thereby denying admission to the US.

    This act was in order to unify the intelligence and the law enforcement agencies of the United States.The laws motive was due to the attack on Dec,11,2001 and was put in place to prevent further attacks on American soil.
