    Backstory
On October 1, 1949, Chinese Communist leader Mao Zedong declared the creation of the People’s Republic of China (PRC). This ended the costly full-scale civil war between the CCP and the Nationalist Party, which broke out immediately following World War II and had been preceded by on and off conflict between the two sides since the 1920’s. The “fall” of mainland China to communism in 1949 led the United States to suspend diplomatic ties with the PRC for decades.
  • Ling Ling's backstory

I'm not even sure what side to pick but I just want the violence to stop, thi scival war is decomiting the Chinese moral. Ling Ling's Immigration Story
After the Chinese Revolution ended it seems that the Communist party won the civil war. I was hoping for the nationalist party to win even with the support of the US, but the communist party turned it over after decades and won.
  • Ling Ling's lone

    Ling Ling's lone
Growing up after the revolution kinda sucked because my parents were taken away from me by the government for speaking out against them and they were silenced just like the others. The only thing they told me to do was find a new life outside of this country
  • Ling Ling's The Beginning

    Ling Ling's The Beginning
Its only been a couple months since the CCP has taken over control of mainland Chin and Ive already seen a downhill trajectory or our country. Ive heard about the Independence day the US Americans and celebrating their freedom the won to become such a free and independent country
  • Ling Ling's confusion

I was hoping for a state that I can live in without having any rights be threatened every time I step out of line. I hear that all the states are mostly the same but I still want to live in one close the the ocean like China and is warm all year round
  • Ling Ling's Decision

    Ling Ling's Decision
After hearing about the american dream I couldn't help but think, what if I lived it? Ive thought on multiple occasions about leaving China but they are not so nice about leaving the country. Escaping the country would be a very difficult task and would take alot of time and money to get to the US.
  • Ling Ling's outcome

I've decided to escape the Chinese prison. This will take a lot of energy and time but I will do whatever it takes to leave. Its going to be more difficult then I thought because of the Chinese security. There's a curfew here, All gates to leave the border are heavily guarded. This might seem extreme but most have heard the the border around all of China is blocked by a physical barrier. I have to do this because for my future Children I wish to have and wife.
  • Ling Ling's Move

    Ling Ling's Move
Over in China our education is taken very seriously. I've always wanted to become an operator in the medical field, not sure which specialtiy. In America though I hope to achieve this and will be able to practice there. Here in Shanghai its fairly common that ships and planes come in and out of this Urban hell. Which means it will be easier to escape bu twill take a lot of thought out processes and will take some smartness to get through.
  • Ling Ling's Destination

    Ling Ling's Destination
Coming to America was one of the toughest transitions to make but it was worth it. Arriving in the State of Florida was probably the best thing that couldve happened to me. Here I found A wife and eventually stared a family. Even the goal of becoming a doctor became true. Anesthesiology is a very complicted but high rewarding occupation in the medical field.
