thisw was a british aviation company founded by Sir thomas octave murdoch and was mainly built for the RAF,RNAS and RFC in the first world war. they had five thousand employees and the headquarters was in kingston upon thames which is in UK. Also this company shut down in 1920 -
Sopwith CAMEL
The Sopwith Camel was the first single seat british bi-plane made by Tommy Sopwith by the Sopwith Aviation company. in addition it had two twin vickers machine guns which where placed on a hump so that it wouldnt hit the propellars. the propeller was a heavy but powerful rotary engine. one of its main downrfalls was its extreme manuevrability. with a new pilot this would mean he would die if he tried to pull an simple stunt but a experienced pilot could tap all its potential. -
Sopwith COBHAM
The Sopwith Cobham was the only twin engined aircarft made by sopwith aslo only three prototypes were made of this plane because the engine was mostly unsuccessful. the length of the plane was 38ft, and the wingspan was 54ft not only that it had two lewis guns on scarff ring in nose and dorsal cockpits in addition it carried 340kg of bombs all that were carried internally. -
Hawker HARRIER
The Hwaker harriewr prototype was biplane and bomber built by hawker aircraft for the RAF. Usually 2 people man the aircraft,it was 9.02metres longand the wingspan was 14.10 meters. it had a bristol jupiter viii nine cyclinder radial engine and the weapons were 1 firing vicker gun and one lewis gun on Scarff ring in near cockpit also the bombs weighed a 1000lb or had 1 torpedo. This was a bi-plane fighter aircraft made fopr the RAF and not only that there were 275 of these aircraft built. This had the top speed of 223mph and that was achieved by its Rolls Royce Kestrel IV V12 engine. In addition it had two vickers mk4 machine guns. this plane halted use in 1949. -
