The Minamata disaster is a disease that affects your nervous system by methylmercury poisoning. This occurred by consuming big amounts of fish and shellfish contaminated by waste in the water which later was found it came from a chemical plant. This event happened in May, 1956 in Minamata City. The things from the water showed high levels of Hg contaminants. The symptoms were effects in your vision, tremors, some cases showed lesions on patients, ataxia, and dysarthria. 1043 people died.

This accident happened in 1986 at the Chernobyl nuclear power station in the Soviet Union. It happened on April 25-26th in 1986 when technicians at reactor unit 4 attempted an awfully designed experiment. Workers had to shut down the power system and safety systems. The chain reaction went out of control at 1:23 AM on April 26th. Multiple explosions occurred.

The Kyoto Protocol was developed to reduce the emissions of gases that contribute to global warming. It was adopted as the first addition to the UNFCCC which is a treaty that is committed to developing national programs to reduce their contributions of greenhouse gases. Greenhouse gases affect the energy balance of the atmosphere in ways expected to lead to an increase in global average temperatures.
