    Democritus (460 BC)

    Democritus (460 BC)
He developed the idea of the atom. He discovered tat everyting was made of atoms with tiny spaces in between. He also said that you can keep cutting something until eventually its uncuttable
  • 450

    Aristotle (384 BC)

    Aristotle (384 BC)
He thought the idea of the atoms was worthless and useless. He discovered all matter was made up of either earth, air, fire, and water or combinations of all.
  • Dalton

    Dalton
He proposed atomic theory of matter that became basic theory of modern chemistry. He discovered that elements onlt combine at atomic level. He used various chemicals to perform experiemnts.
  • Thomson

    Thomson
He discovered the electrons. He also figured out he needed equally amount of neutrons. He figured out the plum pudding theory.
  • Rutherford

    Rutherford
He discouvered that the atoms have a nucleus inside them. He also said that the atoms consisted of substanic particles called protons and electrons. He is famous for the Gold Foil experiment.
  • Bohr

    Bohr
He tried making the most accrate model of atom. He explained electrons havestable orbits around the nucleus. He proved Ruthorford wrong because according to clasical mechanics and electromagnetic theory, any charged particle could eventuallt lose energy.
  • Heisenberg and Schrodinger

    Heisenberg and Schrodinger
They said that for each element a new image is proposed. They used lots of different math equations. They also used quantum mechanics. They extended Bohrs model.
