    Democritus

    Democritus
He discovered that atoms were small, they are infinite in numbers, and they always move. He used theories to create his discoveries.

    Aristotle

    Aristotle
Matter must be made of smaller pieces because things can continously be broken into smaller pieces. He used theories to create his discoveries.
  • Dalton

    Dalton
Dalton discovered that all matter is made of atoms which are indivisible and indestructible. All atoms are given elements. Compounds are formed by a combination of two or more different kinds of atoms. Chemical reaction an arrangement of atoms. He used the Atomic Theory to create his reasoning. He used the Law of Mass Conservation, Law of Constant Composition, and Law of Multiple Proportions.
  • Thompson

    Thompson
Thompson discovered electrons and stated that atoms are large bodies of positive charge with negative throughout.
  • Rutherford

    Rutherford
Rutherford discovered that there are two types of nucleons, protons and neutrons. To make his discovery he used the Gold Foil Experiment. In this experiment you shot alpha particles at gold foil. The path the alpha took curbed proving that there was a large positive charge.
  • Bohr

    Bohr
Bohr discovered that protons are in the nucleus and electrons surround it. Also he said that electrons can only move in certain paths and the outer electrons determine the element's chemical property.
  • Schrodinger

    Schrodinger
HE discovered the electron cloud and that electrons move fast causing a cloud. The two-slit experiment is what he used. This consisted of trying to see where a particle is located then discovering something particle-like with a wave.
