    Allowed almost 100,000 people to become American citizens since it was their land first.

    The Homestead Act provided housing for the poor and the immigrants.

  • Anti-Coolie Act

    Limited immigration by Chinese railroad workers.

  • First Transcontinental Railroad

    Majority of the workers were immigrants.
