The tea act was a way that they strengthened the tax on tea that happened to already be placed by American colonies. It also allowed British east India to have control on tea trade that happened there. The Americans weren’t allowed to buy from anywhere else. This act also got repealed in 1861. -
This war was started for all of these acts stated in this timeline but it really began because of the opportunity that they could have had colonial representation they didn’t and that caused the people to oppose all taxes.
