I started competing in karate for belts and to help better manage my anger. -
I started pre-k and started learning on my own. -
I learned I had a love for theater and did drama kids along with being in multiple plays that year which ended up leading into me having theater classes. -
I learned to be more independent and to focus more on myself instead of others. -
I always had trouble with showing my love and around this time I knew I needed to work on showing my love better so that's what I tried to work on. -
I never really understood how me acting around others could affect not only myself but also others. Around this time I started trying to work on myself better. -
I wanted to play a sport but wasn't sure what sport until I saw basketball try outs. I went and I got in and was head team captain of the girls team for my school. -
I realized even though I was good at basketball I didn't really like doing it. -
I realized I need to focus not only on my life and future but also on my grades and -
My whole life before this I craved validation from those around me friends, teachers, family, etc but after looking at the bigger picture I learned that if people don't like me for me then they shouldn't be around me. -
Started my first day of high school at Hardaway High School. -
After realizing I had huge anger problems I decided I really needed to work on those so that's exactly what I did. I started learning to be more calm and doing activities that would keep me calm. -
I knew I needed to try and focus more on Jesus and to strengthen my faith so I started going to church more and reading my Bible more. -
I tried to focus more on school and put school before fun. -
Decided I wanted to make my own money and wanted to have more responsibility given to me. -
I started noticing not everyone is a true friend and that I needed to focus more on the ones who are really always there for me compared to the ones who aren't. -
Decided to start wrestling again since I had experience in karate and also seemed like I would love it. -
I needed to become more patient to get a job and to do better in school. -
I finally got my learners permit and am now able to learn how to drive that way in the future I can be more independent and take myself places. -
After wrestling for over a year and being hurt for over half of last season I finally got a win (not a forfeit). This helped me become more involved in the sport that I love. -
Even though I know everyday has it struggles I am trying to focus more on finding the good in everything and living life to its fullest potential.
