Greek art showed development from the geometric and abstract designs seen in the Geometric period (900-700 BCE) to a more naturalistic design, such as the Kurous seen in the Archaic period (700-480 BCE). In the classical period (480-323 BCE) artists were fixated on perfection and created anatomically accurate sculptures. In the Late classical period (400-323 BCE), artists broadened that idea and conveyed more emotional and realistic figures.
